Nigeria’s representative in the skeleton event at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, Simidele Adeagbo is the first African to ever compete in this event.
Yes, she came 20th in the event but the fact that she is the first African is enough and has opened windows at least for Africans that may be interested in competing in such event.
However, certain headlines decided to go with the caption “SIMIDELE DISAPPOINTS”. This is why Nigerians in the Diaspora will rather represent country’s that will at least encourage them on their first try.

Now that this has happened, the Nigerian Senate has decided to invite her to Senate house #smh. 
We have decided to recognise her because an international body is working with her.
