Jay Z & Beyonce’s PR Game – Top Notch

Jay Z & Beyonce are the biggest Music Couple ever…Take it of Leave it but this guys have managed to remain relevant at all cost and keeping it juicy for the entire populace with all the rumors while cashing in at it. I say their PR game is very on point because there is no such thing as bad publicity, that works in America ….alright not all the time in Nigeria.

Isn’t funny how there always seem to be a cheating. divorce or breakup rumor every time they are about to release new music, or going on tour.

I took time out of my busy schedule to check this out (apparently i’m not so busy..right):

2005: Rumors swirl that Jay Z and Rihanna are hooking up. In late 2015, biographer J. Randy Taraborrelli claims that the rumors were faked  in order to drum up Rihanna’s popularity. Still, Taraborrelli says that the couple split up during that time because Beyoncé wasn’t sure to think of the rumors. (In my mind, Beyonce did not understand the strategy)

September 2006: Beyoncé releases her second solo album, B’Day, which includes two songs about cheating: “Ring the Alarm,” which was supposedly about Rihanna, and “Resentment.” (Mama still no sure, its Rihanna ….duh)

January 2013: The first rumblings about an affair between Jay Z and new Roc Nation artist Rita Ora begin to emerge. Convenient that Beyonce was dropping a documentary the next month.

February 2013: Beyoncé’s  documentary Life Is But a Dream is released on HBO. While things never get too deep, she does discuss her marriage and includes footage of them looking very much in love.

May 12, 2014: TMZ releases footage of Solange Knowles attacking brother-in-law Jay Z in a elevator while Beyoncé looks on. “Elevatorgate” stays in the news for weeks while the world speculates about what exactly went down. Most of the rumors center around Jay Z’s supposed flirtation (or affair) with Rachel Roy, the ex-wife of his ex-business partner and best friend, Dame Dash.

May 13, 2014: One day later Jay Z and Solange are spotted together shopping for jewelry. Beyoncé posts a picture on Instagram wearing a sweater with Aaliyah’s face on it—perhaps a jab at Rachel Roy, whose ex-husband Dame Dash dated the late singer.

May 15, 2014: Two days after that, Beyoncé, Jay Z and Solange release a cryptic statement saying that they’ve put the incident behind them.

In my mind, both days were staged, i still do not believe that they actually had a fight, yes, solange may have a little crazy going on but that is the point, make every one believe that there is trouble in paradise, then announce their tour…GBAM everybody thinks this people are going to break up, we might never see them again. Sold out Concert everywhere.

May 18, 2014: Jay Z and Beyoncé release the trailer for their upcoming On the Run Tour which is scheduled to begin on June 25th.

June 2014: The summer of divorce rumors begins. Throughout the tour, rumors fly that the couple is fighting backstage and are headed for divorce. There are reports that Jay Z cheated with reality TV “star” Casey Cohen, which Cohen swiftly denies.

July 2014: The story of their marriage trouble picks up steam, with some saying that the relationship is merely a business arrangement. The rumors are bolstered when Beyoncé performs “Resentment”(loving the way she kept making the script better) and changes the lyrics “Been ridin’ with you for six years” to say “12 years”—the length of her relationship with Jay Z. She is reportedly seenshopping for apartments. People guess they will split up after the tour is over. Abi they haff split ni

No more rumors since that time.  Fast forward to 2016, Beyonce is about to drop lemonade album, rumours start to fly again about divorce and cheating “becky with the good hair”.

Jay Z has dropped a response to the lemonade cheating scandal in a song ft  Fat Joe amidst rumors that him and his wife Beyonce are going drop a new album together or that Jayz is dropping an album…whichever.

See this people know how to put themselves in the News and sell their music, album or tour…..

I give them a loud applause for the good job and good PR.
