The PDP Vs APC Saga + Other Headlines

PDP tells Oshiomole that he Cannot decide the Fate of the Senate;

The PDP, asked the National Chairman of the APC, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, to stop his continued calls for the change of the leadership of the Senate, saying such was completely out of his decision.

The party urged Oshiomhole to also stop “his childish tantrums and get educated” on the fact that the positions of the Senate President and that of deputy Senate President did not belong to political parties but to Nigerians, who elected persons into the seats through their representatives in the Senate. Oye: If the Senator Bukola Saraki was a man of integrity, he will vacate the position, as he got that position on the card of the APC but #thisisNigeria, we cannot expect such character from the Senate President.

PDP alleges fresh plot to arrest Bukola Saraki, Ike Ekweremadu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday alleged that there is a fresh plot by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and “the cabal in the Buhari Presidency to use compromised security agencies and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to invite, arrest and detain Senate President Bukola Saraki and Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu.”

This comes as the party disclosed that it had unraveled fresh facts confirming that the pressure by the presidency for the reconvening of the Senate was out of a sinister motive and not for any emergency in the approval of the budget of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2019 general elections.
